Gold plated banana plug for wire up to 6 mm². To open up the plug the two parts (split is roughly in the centre of the grip) need to be twisted anticlockwise. The wire is then inserted through the rear opening. To close the plug just twist the two parts clockwise.

The 4 mm, 24 ct gold plated Banana Tube shown on the left is one of the best connectors we know. The wire is attached by feeding it trough the opening on the left of the connector and then soldered. Any banana socket accepts this connector. Also accepts rear-entry plugs of the same type or banana plugs for stacking.
One disadvantage, however, is that it may break by stepping on it.

Insulating sleeves for the Banana Tube
The finished connector looks like in the picture on the right. What you need is the Banana Tube (pictured above) and the insulating sleeve (pictured left below). After the wire has been soldered to the Banana Tube, the insulating sleeve has to be pushed over the tube from the front and locked by folding down the lever. Further assembly notes

WBT Connectors
It's certainly debatable whether a lot of money should be spent on connectors, especially for connecting home-made speakers. Our high-end customers are definitely prepared to go for the best. WBT connectors in particular are very popular with this community. These connectors don't have much of a competition and are often used for high-end ready made cables.
We recommend high quality cable like Kimber PR or TC or Kimber 8 TC (great looks) to go with this type of connector.

WBT-0645 Safety Line banana plug
WBT is well known for their advanced contact technology. According to our knowledge the WBT safety banana plug is the only one that complies with CE standards. Children, e.g. should be hindered from plugging the banana pin into the mains socket. The purpose of the second pin is to prevent just this.
